Three weeks after starting a brand new job at the electric company, 30-year-old Paul McCowns decided to take his first work check into a Huntington Bank branch in Brooklyn, Ohio. According to the Washington Post, the bank grilled him with questions, called his employer repeatedly, and ultimately refused to cash the check under suspicion of fraud before calling local police on the man.
